Patrick Roach has been a professional photographer for over 30 years. In his formative years, he studied under some of the best known photographers of the early 60's, from Terence Donovan to David Bailey. Life for the young photographer in the early days involved being the house photographer for many of the large auction houses in London, especially Sotheby's. He also spent a considerable amount of time selling second hand Jacobs Club biscuits, but that is a story too gory to go into on an open web site.

Patrick, however, always had a yearning for the life on the open wave and began crewing on big yachts in the early 70's. He realised that there was a gap in the photography market for high quality pictures of racing yachts in action and their crews at work. Patrick's work has been published in almost every quality yachting magazine around the world.

Patrick Roach Picture Agency aims to always provide the customer with that all-important picture, as and when they need it. The attached portfolios are just a very small sample of Patrick's picture library, which now numbers well over a million images.
